The Parish and District Councils organised the second "Larks in the Park" afternoon in Roestock Park on Sunday 29th June 2008. A number of local organisations were represented including our Twinning Association and a number of entertainers were organised by the councils.
After a slow start at noon, the weather improved, people finished their Sunday lunches and by 2 o'clock the park was full of visitors.
| Under our two new pop-up gazebos we provided light refreshments including champagne, displayed photographs of our recent activities, sold raffle tickets and generally chatted about the Twinning Association with anyone who was willing to listen. | |

| Next to the gazebos we organised English Skittles and French Boules competitions. | |

| The raffle was drawn by the vicar of St Marks and Twinning member James. The prize, a canteen of kitchen knives was presented by Henry to the winners Mr. And Mrs. Nichols. | |

| James also won the adult boules competition. The junior boules and skittles were won by Oliver and Daniel. | |
